About Celsa

The history of Celsa Messgeräte GmbH goes back on the former Spanish mother-company, which is already manufacturing measuring-equipment since 1970. So the company is looking back on 40 years experience, research and development in this business.

Celsa Germany was established in the 1980`s as the sales-subsidiary for the German market.

After Celsa Germany dedicated itself more and more to serving also the international markets, Celsa Messgeräte took over the Spanish company and at the same step the global sales and became Holding of the comapny-group. Today Celsa delivers measuring-technology to customers worldwide by using mutiple distribution-channels. Cooperations and participations on third companies assure customer proximity, fast deliver-time and high quality.

UNIVERSAL MEASURING INSTRUMENTS

Universal measuring instruments are applied for measuring, recording and monitoring of electrical values in low and middle voltage networks. The measurement is rated for 1 and 3 phase systems with or without neutral.

These instruments are featuring high accuracy, compact design, and measuring of harmonic currents / voltages for all phases. Universal measuring instruments replace up to 15 other devices, such as ammeters, voltmeters, voltmeter-switches, power meters (kW, kVA, kvar und cos phi), active / reactive power counters, harmonic analysers, measuring converters, hour counters, etc. Therefore the costs for the planning, installation, wiring and storage can be significantly reduced in comparison to analogue measuring instruments.

DIGITALE PANEL INSTRUMENTS

Digital panel instruments for sophisticated industrial applications.

 The choices are:

  • Compact digital displays
  • Bargraphs
  • Large-screen display

for microprocessor-controlled signal processing of analog measuring values via 16-bit-A/D - converter:

  • DC V/mA, DC V/mA-differential measurement
  • DC mV/µA, AC V/A
  • Resistance measurement
  • Recognition of rotationed angles
  • Frequency measurement
  • Temperature measurement PT100, PT1000 and thermocouples.

 COUNTERS

We offer you several types of counters:

  • KWh counters are applied for measuring power consumption in alternating or three-phase supply networks.
  • The hour counters count the hours of operation of machines or equipment’s.
  • The pulse counters count the quantities or make-and-break cycle in equipment’s and so they measure the results of production.
  • Electronic position display / preset counters control operating and         production processes. They are easy to program and are used to the following applications: preselection of piece quantity, trimming, dosing, time controls, monitoring of rpm, control and flow rate.

Analogue Measuring Instruments

Analogue instruments register a value to be measured and show it on an analogue display, usually by a pointer on a scale.

So the value is displayed in a steeples and continuous way. In opposition to digital displays, instabilities and tendencies of a value can be recognized faster and more intuitively on an analogue display. On the other hand at analogue displays exact numerical values are more difficult to read compared to a digital instrument (reading error). Analogue instruments are on hand for a broad band of electrical values. They are available in the standardized dimensions 48x48mm, 72x72mm, 96x96mm and 144x144mm, as well as in various rectangle executions.

 Current transformers

Current transformers are electrical equipment that converts primary currents to proportional secondary currents that are appropriate to the connected measuring instruments.

Current transformers have a primary winding to which the current to be measured is fed. Measuring instruments are connected to a secondary winding. Current transformers are used for measuring and protecting applications. It is recommended to apply current transformers for currents of 40 A or higher. Our package includes wrap-type current and different sizes and classes of accuracy can be calibrated for current transformers, current transformers and lift conversion, and power converters with analog output (eg 4-20mA or 0-10V). In addition, we offer current transformer, the summed output signal 2-9 upstream main transformers. As the newest product we have a power converter with an integrated voltage tap introduced for rail mounting (model VST).

 Transducers

Current and voltage transducers are applied for the measurement of sinusoidal alternating currents (Nominal-input current from 0,05 to 20A) and alternating voltages (Nominal input voltages from 200 to 690 V).

For higher currents or voltages transformers have to be connected before. Additionally, we offer transducer for measuring parameters such as frequency, phase angle, active and reactive power and temperature. All transducers are able to snap on DIN rails The offer to limit relays and isolating amplifier complete our transducers range.

Shunts

Shunts are the first choice for accurate measuring of current in DC installations. By measuring a standardized voltage-drop at a given input-current, the actual current can be displayed very accurate (accuracy class 0,5) e.g. with a moving coil instrument. Our Shunts are robust, accurate, and easy to mount.

Volt- and ammter switches / Position indicators

  • Voltmeter- and ammeter switches: Voltmeter- and ammeter switches are applied to select the AC-phases to be measured. This way, one single instrument can be used for measurement of current or voltage of different phases, respectively phase-to-phase and phase-to-zero. Some types additionally have a zero-position. Switches are available for panel-mounting or DIN-rail mounting. Panel-mounting-types are 4-hole screw-fixing, or one-hole-central-fixing.
  • Position indicators: Position indicators display the actual position of circuit-breakers and isolators. They are designed for mounting in instrument-panels or in Mimic panels. The position indicators are available for AC and DC-voltages and in different formats and sizes

LED-Indicator Panels

LED-Indicator panels optically indicate the operating- respectively the fault-status of up to 36 channels by colour-LEDs (SM-type available with 3-color-LEDs).

Depending on the input-signal its status is directly indicated. Additional connection of optical or acoustical alarms is possible as an option. Labelling of the labelling-plates can be made according to the customer’s specifications.
