The chapter introduces several kinds of counters:
- KWh counters are applied for measuring power consumption in alternating or three-phase supply networks.
- The hour counters count the hours of operation of machines or equipment’s.
- The pulse counters count the quantities or make-and-break cycle in equipment’s and so they measure the results of production.
- Electronic position display / preset counters control operating and production processes. They are easy to program and are used to the following applications: preselection of piece quantity, trimming, dosing, time controls, monitoring of rpm, control and flow rate.
